Noida: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) has allotted 26 acres of land to a Jammu and Kashmir-based private firm for the development of a logistics park and warehouse, officials said Sunday.

The allotment was finalized Friday with the issuance of a Letter of Intent (LoI) to Shri Katyayani Metal Private Limited. The company plans to invest around ₹1,000 crore in the project.

The upcoming facility will be strategically located in Sector 8. This is near the Noida International Airport in Jewar, according to Yeida officials. The area is considered a prime zone for logistics and industrial activity due to its proximity to the greenfield airport.

“This project aligns with Yeida’s comprehensive plan to strengthen cargo and logistics infrastructure in the region,” said RK Singh, chief executive officer of Yeida. “A dedicated cargo terminal is also being developed at the Jewar airport site.”

Officials added that cargo flight operations are expected to begin on the first day of the airport’s launch. This will lead to robust demand for integrated logistics and warehousing services in the area.

The logistics park will offer secure storage for import and export consignments. It will also provide value-added services such as consolidation and distribution. Unlike standard warehousing units, this project will feature specialized infrastructure tailored to modern supply chain management needs.

Authorities emphasized that the project is expected to generate employment opportunities and further boost industrial development across the Yeida region.
